Second Vice Chair – Anabel Marquez
The Second Vice Chair is the ranking officer of the Central Committee in the absence or inability of the Chair and First Vice Chair to act.
Anabel is a communications specialist with experience in government relations, strategic communications, media and public affairs. She spent over 14 years in public service with the IRS, most recently as a Congressional District Liaison, where she led outreach efforts and developed national messaging strategies. She also has an extensive background in journalism and public engagement, with experience in both English and Spanish-language media. Anabel holds a Master’s degree in Communications Management from the University of Southern California. A former officer of the Oxnard College Democratic Club, she is excited to join the Ventura County Democratic Party’s Central Committee. Anabel resides in Oxnard with her husband and two sons.
