SOAR RENEWAL Meeting in Oak Park
VCDCC has endorsed the current SOAR law which is now are up for renewal. We would like to invite you to an informal party at our home in Oak Park on Sunday, April 26th, to hear about how to save our county’s model law protecting open spaces and agricultural resources.SOAR (Save Open space & Agricultural Resources) is one of the few laws in the nation that protects open space. Like us, we know you want to do what can to keep our beautiful open spaces OPEN and avoid the traffic congestion and air pollution over-development brings.
It won’t be easy. Developers will seek to prevent the renewal of SOAR. Winning the renewal campaign will require a major grassroots effort, not the least of which is getting the tens of thousands of signatures necessary to put the measure on the 2016 ballot. We need your help and support to keep SOAR from expiring. There are few times in our lives when we can make such a huge difference. Leading Ventura County away from the kind of sprawl development that happened in the San Fernando Valley is one of those times.
We would be more than pleased if you could join us 2:00 to 4pm on Sunday, April 26th at our home at 6481 Smoke Tree Ave, here in Oak Park. Please RSVP by Friday, April 20 by e-mailing Karen Schmidt at firstname.lastname@example.org or calling Karen at 805 421-9230. We look forward to seeing you!
Thank you, Jay and Linda Kapitz
