Action Alert from the Rocketdyne Cleanup Coalition: The Dept. of Energy (DOE) has released its draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the SSFL cleanup and it's atrocious, proposing to leave 34 - 94% of the contaminated soil not cleaned up - and directly violating the cleanup agreement it signed in 2010 to clean up all detectable contamination. We need to generate ALOT of comments on the DEIS and get as many people as we can out to the two DOE hearings, Saturday, on Feb. 18, and on Tuesday Feb. 21. This one is really important - it is one of the last two official ways the public can weigh in on the cleanup. Note that even though DOE is federal, which under Trump will be even worse than it already is - DOE is still under the state's authority for the SSFL cleanup. So, we do have a chance, if we can generate enough noise. Click here to take action: http://secure.psr.org/ea-action/action?ea.client.id=1898&ea.campaign.id=63095
